The books.The return.The plan.

Bookkeeping, tax preparation, and estate planning for small and mid-sized businesses — and the families who built them. A practice of one, by design.

We don’t sell investments, write wills, or take over operations. We keep the record, file the return, and help you plan.

Contractors, restaurants, and owner-operated companies are the core. Households and estates sit beside them, not in a separate silo.

Based in Montgomery County. We work across Texas, and we file wherever you have a return.

Services

Four desks. One file.

Most clients need more than one. That is the point of a single steward.

01

Business bookkeeping

A monthly close you can run the company from — job costing, sales mix, payroll coordination, and a ledger that matches the bank.

  • The Friday Close for crews and draws
  • Kitchen Week for sales, tips, tax
  • QuickBooks Online, kept current
02

Business tax advisory

Federal returns, Texas franchise and sales-tax coordination, estimated payments, and a plan before December — not a scramble in March.

  • Entity and estimated-tax planning
  • Franchise and sales-tax filings
  • Year-end review, in writing
03

Individual federal & state

Texas has no personal income tax. The federal return still does the work — and so does any state where you earned, owned, or lived.

  • The Extension File — $850, wall 15 Oct
  • Organizer, drop-dead 29 Sep
  • Household sitting behind the company
04

Estate planning support

Inventories, basis, beneficiary notes, and a clean file for your attorney and executor. Guidance and recordkeeping — not legal advice, and not a will.

  • The Estate File — $1,500
  • Asset and basis inventories
  • Work with your attorney — not a will

Who we serve

Built for the work on the ground.

Not a template firm. The books look different on a jobsite than they do on a Saturday night ticket. We keep both.

Dry-stacked fieldstone wall

Contractors and trades

Progress billing, retainage, HVAC and plumbing jobs that were never tagged. The job-cost report has to mean something on Friday.

Restaurants

Daily sales, tips, food cost, and Texas sales tax — closed on a rhythm the kitchen can live with, not a dump at month-end.

Owner-operated companies

One set of books, one tax plan. S-corps, a few rental doors, 1–5 trucks domiciled here. Mid-size is welcome. Mills are not how we work.

Families and estates

Executors, 1099-R households, and the owner sitting behind the company. We sit beside your attorney, not in their chair.

How we work

Quiet, sequential, in writing.

You will not be handed a portal and wished luck. Engagements have an order, and you always know where you are in it.

  1. 01

    A thirty-minute discovery

What you have, what you need, whether we’re the right fit. No pitch deck. If it isn’t, you’ll hear that before you spend anything.

  2. 02

    The books, then the plan

Tax and estate work sit on numbers that are true. We close the gap in the ledger first, then file and advise from that file.

  3. 03

    Year-round, not tax season

Estimated payments, a December review, and a file that’s ready when life — or the Service — asks. You are not a March client.

The desk

AI drafts. You send nothing you have not read.

Source, screen, onboard, implement. Prompt templates with a human gate. Sample file included.

  1. 01

    Source

Notes, referrals, and SEO briefs that make a stranger move.

  2. 02

    Screen

Fit score and a thirty-minute script. A clean no is a win.

  3. 03

    Onboard

Engagement outline, documents, QuickBooks — in writing.

  4. 04

    Implement

Catch-up, first close, Friday snapshot, Texas calendar.

Tell us who to plan around.

Three short questions. We read every request and reply by email. A discovery call is thirty minutes; it is not a sales hour.

  • Bring last year’s return if you have it. Catch-up is welcome if you don’t.
  • Business, household, and estate can sit in the same engagement.

Who should we plan around?

One choice. You can add nuance in a moment.

Fees

The mill charges $250. Job costing does not.

Volume sets a floor. Complexity moves the tier. Catch-up is two to three times monthly. We quote the named product or the math — whichever is higher.
